BIRDY BOLTS - BRASS - BAGGED

DESCRIPTION

Specially designed closet bolt designed to make installation of toilet bowls easy.  Each bag contains two solid brass bolts, two round washers and two open-end nuts. 

The BIRDY BOLT has two features that differentiate it from a regular closet bolt.  First, the closet bolt has a captive washer which secures the bolt in an upright position.  In this way the user can easily place the toilet bowl over the bolts.  Second, if the closet bolt is too long the excess can be snapped off.  No saw is needed to lower the height of the bolt.  

DIRECTIONS

1. Place bolt into position on flange with threaded portion up.  

2. Apply BLACK SWAN'S STAY SOFT PLUMBERS PUTTY and BLACK SWAN'S SWAN WAX or FLANGE & GASKET to base of toilet bowl.  Then, set the toilet down carefully over bolts so threaded portion of bolts correspond with holes in base of bowl. 

3. Place loose washer on bolts and then apply hex nuts firmly but not so tight as to crack edge of bowl base. 

4. Snap-off any remaining threaded portion of bolts above nuts.  If desired, decorator cap can then be place over bolt and nuts.
