COLD SHIELD

DESCRIPTION

A gel that is designed to prevent heat damage to surrounding components and material during soldering.  Cold Shield is a superior heat shield and will prevent damage to painted surfaces, wood, plastic, vinyl, insulation, wire insulation, fabric, and much more.  Cold Shield will also absorb heat in metal when soldering, brazing or welding.  This will significantly reduce the amount of heat traveling through metal and will protect valve seals and closely soldered parts. This will also prevent surface discoloration of welding stainless steel and protect against distortion of welding stainless steel.  Cold Shield is environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-flammable.

The Competitive Advantage

Most competitive products are soap and water based or clay based.  This means that the heat shielding ability is very low or nonexistent.  It also means that the material will evaporate very quickly and provide very little heat absorbance.

Black Swan's Cold Shield is a water based, inorganic gel.  It takes 22 seconds to evaporate which means that it has excellent heat absorbance capabilities.  It also means that the heat shielding capabilities is superior to other products on the market.

            DIRECTIONS

  1. Apply Cold Shield directly onto area to be protected from heat.  Spray about 1/8" thickness for protection lasting about 15 seconds.  Increase thickness of Cold Shield up to 1/2" for longer protection.
  2. To prevent heat from traveling through pipes, spray Cold Shield about 2" to 4" from work area.  Apply about 1/4" thickness of material.
  3. When done, Cold Shield can be wiped off surface with hand, cloth, trowel, etc.

CAUTION

Cold Shield is a harmless surfactant, water and inorganic based agent.  Prolonged use may cause dryness of the skin and product may irritate the eyes if sprayed directly into them.
