STAINLESS PUTTY

DESCRIPTION

Black Swan’s STAINLESS PUTTY is the "original putty" used in the plumbing industry. It is a special formulated putty which will stay soft and flexible and will not shrink, bleed, harden, crack or crumble. It is gas proof, odor proof and water resistant.

STAINLESS PUTTY can be used for setting toilet bowls, fixtures, faucets, strainers, basin cocks, sink frames, and many other sealing and caulking applications.

 STAINLESS PUTTY meets Federal Specification TT-P-1536A.

WHAT DOES "STAINLESS" MEAN?

The word stainless refers to how the oil in the putty bleeds from the putty when it comes into contact with other material. For example, the oil in an inexpensive putty will bleed easily and stain whatever surface it comes into contact with. A higher quality putty will hold the oil better and not cause a stain.

The word stainless does not refer to stainless steel putty.

               DIRECTIONS

1. Apply STAINLESS PUTTY liberally and evenly to clean dry surface.
   
2. Set and tighten fixture.
   
3. Remove excess putty.

FOR NATURAL MARBLE SURFACE

1. Do not let putty come into contact with natural marble surface.
   
2. Brush or spray marble area with clear acrylic lacquer. Allow to dry.
   
3. Apply putty as noted above.

CAUTIONS

Keep out of reach of children. Do not take internally.
