DIRECTIONS

  1. Clean pipe of dirt and debris.
  2. Apply liberal coat of Black Swan’s No-Hub Sealant to pipe.
  3. Place gasket on end of one pipe and push pipe in firmly.
  4. Place stainless steel shield with clamps over the second pipe end to be joined.
  5. Place second pipe end into gasket and pack in firmly.
  6. Make sure both pipes are aligned properly.
  7. Slide shield with clamp over the gasket so the gasket is completely covered.
  8. Use a calibrated torque wrench and tighten the stainless steel screws alternatively to the proper torque pounds (60 inch pounds). For larger diameter couplings that have four bands, the inner bands should be tightened first and then the outer bands tightened. In all cases, when tightening bands they should be tightened alternately to ensure that the coupling shield is drawn up uniformly.
